Loving Autumn and the Seemingly Endless Photo Ops!
Well it seems as though Autumn is about to come to a close in New Jersey! The leaves are at their peak and will soon be a memory with the exception of hearing their "crunch" beneath our feet.
I love this time of year because at any given opportunity, a "photo op" presents itself. Whether it be walks in the woods by my house, or day trips with my husband, there has been no shortage of photos for the taking! Over the past two weeks, Nick and I have been able to take some relatively short drives and find some beautiful scenery. Last week it was Hartshorne Woods in Monmouth County, topped off by a quick lunch break on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. After enjoying Cuban Sandwiches (FABULOUS!) at Cubacan, I was able to take some more photos of the famous City of Ruins. Although these Asbury Park photos contained little indication of fall, they were equally as fun to make and work with in post-production. A few days ago, we took a drive down Route 27 and landed in Princeton, New Jersey. First we explored the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park and then spent a short time at Princeton University with its glorious architecture and yet some more vibrant fall foliage. After picking up a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks, we were homeward bound.
Here are some views of what Autumn looks like in New Jersey this year. With scenery like this, I often question the idea of moving down south where the season changes won't be nearly as dramatic if present at all!
